Back in April we mentioned a new CBS game show in development called Secret Fortune. The show is based on a British show by the same name (and the name of the U.S. version could still change). The format is very similar to Deal or No Deal, but instead of briefcases we're working with envelopes. And now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, we're also working with Donny Osmond instead of Howie Mandel. |

Many of us remember Osmond at the helm of Pyramid almost 10 years ago, and he's also hosted the U.K. versions of Pyramid and Identity. While Donny is certainly a capable host, I'm not sure if this will be a case of the format fitting the host - we'll have to wait and see.
One question remains, however. With Osmond's version of Pyramid earning the nickname Donnymid, what the heck are we going to call this one?
Secret Fortune is still in the pilot stage, so we'll have lots more news should the game get picked up.
