Brothers Hosting Children's Benefit In November
Branson Tri Lakes News

October 25, 2011

Next month, the Osmonds will hosting their annual fundraiser for the Children’s Miracle Network, a two-day event during which any donation to the charitable organization will net you a ticket to see Wayne, Jay and Jimmy’s Christmas show.

The fundraiser will be during shows at the Caravelle Theatre at 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11, and Saturday, Nov. 12.

Dubbed the Miracle on 76 Boulevard, the event will raise money for Children’s Miracle Network of CoxHealth in Springfield, which provides financial assistance to area children with special medical needs.

Also benefitting from the event will be the organization’s C.A.R.E. Mobile program, a mobile pediatric clinic that offers basic medical services across a 32-county area. The program’s mission is to provide access to health care for children in the Ozarks who have no insurance, do not have a primary-care physician or whose parents can’t afford necessary services.

In an email, Jimmy Osmond explained his family’s commitment to the Children’s Miracle Network.

“Our family is deeply involved because our mother, Olive Osmond, started the organization called the Osmond Foundation, which became the Children’s Miracle Network many years ago,” he said.

Osmond said every dollar donated stays in the region to help local children.

The Osmond brothers’ show at the Caravelle, “Up Close and Personal,” also stars two other performing families: the Thomas brothers and the Tinocos.

To make reservations for the show, call 417-336-6100. For more information on Children’s Miracle Network, call 417-269-5437.
