If you ever needed to find an Osmond outside of Utah, the place to go for the last 20 years is Branson, Mo., "The Live Music Show Capital of the World."
But not next year.
For the first time in nearly 20 years, the Osmond Brothers will not be performing at Branson in 2012, Jimmy Osmond recently announced, according to the Branson Tri-Lakes News.
Jimmy Osmond, owner and promoter of the stage show starring himself and his famous singing brothers, told employees a couple of weeks ago - and repeated the news on his Facebook page.
“Branson has been good to me,” Osmond said. “(This) marks the end of a 20-year running streak. We are grateful for your support.”
The Osmond Family Theater opened in 1992. Since then, the family has performed at that and other venues, where 4 million people have attended.
The brothers have a 50-date tour in the United Kingdom next year - which they say will be their last.
The brothers will play this weekend at The Orleans in Las Vegas, then return with their Christmas show at Branson's Caravelle Theater through Dec. 7.
