“Fantastic,” screamed Donny Osmond. “Yeah! Now we’re at 500, and we didn’t know we would go past eight shows. Now we’re at 500, and we plan to make it another 500 in Las Vegas -- and even more.”
Last night, Donny and sister Marie Osmond celebrated the 500th show milestone at their Flamingo showroom, and President Rick Mazer wheeled onstage a beautiful 500-decorated cake. “I thought I would have to save my breath to blow out 500 candles,” Donny laughed. “Thankfully, I didn’t!”
Flamingo executives hope -- weather permitting -- to unveil a new wrap of the brother and sister hit-makers around the casino hotel building tomorrow to mark the new-look show that begins April 5 with eight new songs, a Broadway showstopper from Marie and new choreographed routines for the backup dancers. |
