Seventies superstar Donny Osmond’s US radio show is to make its UK debut via the airwaves of Smooth Radio.
The Guardian Media Group station will begin broadcasting from 8pm to midnight on Sunday April 8 Osmond’s programme, which will come from his Las Vegas studio and be produced by Blue Revolution.
Smooth Radio’s brand programme director Steve Collins said: “It is great to be able to bring an artist such as Donny to Smooth Radio. Our listeners have grown up with his music and have followed his life story so we are delighted that he will be joining our line-up each Sunday evening.”
Osmond added: “I’m really looking forward to getting on the air in the UK. So many people fly over to Las Vegas to see my show but this now gives me the opportunity to have a presence once again in a country I love by being on the radio every week to entertain my massive UK fan base.”
Separately, weekday hosts David Jensen and Carlos are swapping slots from this coming Monday, meaning, Jensen will now host the 4 to 8pm drivetime show and Carlos will begin the 1 to 4pm afternoon shift when he returns from holiday on April 2.
