That's My Girl
Take a little love
Add a little laughter
Find a pretty smile
That’s my girl
( Yeah, That’s my girl)
Take a little rain
And turn it into sunshine
Makes you feel better
That’s my girl
(Ooo hoo)
Just take the time
(Just take the time)
She’ll find the way
To make you feel at home
Like you’ve always known her
That’s my girl
In all the world
(In all the world)
There’s no one better
I call out her name
(call out her name)
She’s always there
(she’s always there)
If you’re feeling low
Never gonna hide it
She knows what your thinking
That’s my girl
(yeah, that’s my girl)
Take a look around
There’s no one better
(Oo, oo)
That's my girl
In all the world
(in all the world)
There's no one better
I call out her name
(call out her name)
She’s always there
(she’s always there)
Where do I go
And who do I long for
Why am I living
For my girl
(for my girl)
Take me as I am
Make me look better
(Aah, Aah)
That’s my girl
That’s my girl
That’s my girl
My brother Alan wrote this song with this future wife Suzanne in mind. I thought it was a wonderful description of his feelings. This song was included on my 1994 cassette, and I thought I would include it on this CD as well. This time though, I though it would be fun to record my voice now (in a duet style), echoing my voice from 15 years ago. I wanted to show a then and now difference in style and tonality. See if you can hear the differences between the original voice (then) and the echo voice (now). To this day, it rates as one of my favorite songs. - Jay Osmond
