A 17-minute show was originally planned but was cut short when the vice-premier had to leave for a scheduled reception at the National Gallery of Art. Wayne learned to say a statement to the vice-premier in Chinese He was coached by a professor of Chinese literature at the University of Chicago. Cho Len, Teng’s wife, stayed after he left and the Osmonds met with her later. |

The Osmonds went to North Carolina in a private jet owned by RJR Foods (the people who do the Hawaiian Punch commercials) and then the jet took them to Hershey, Pennsylvania.
The Osmonds performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. While there, they visited the Smithsonian and the White House.
After Washington, Donny and Jay flew to Perth, Australia where Donny performed for the Miss Universe Broadcast. They saw the Skylab piece that fell to earth near Australia and received a piece of it for souvenir.
The Osmonds were in St. Louis, MO with Paul H. Dunn and did some firesides. They had dinner at the mission home. They also went to a baseball game between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Chicago Cubs. After participating in a pre-game ceremony, they enjoyed the game. The next day they participated in three firesides. |
